Find out more about our vision for the future at KBC!

We would like to share with you our vision for how we will continue to move forward in our mission in transforming people into fully devoted followers of Christ. We have broken our mission down into four pillars that will serve as the structure for achieving our vision. We have called these the 4 P's: Praise, Partner, Prepare and Proclaim.

We encourage everyone to take part in our 4-part vision by getting involved in each of these four areas in the Lord's strength and in prayer.

Watch our video about Vision 2020.

The first pillar of our Vision 2020 is the pillar of PRAISE. We want people to be able to experience the glory of God and respond through worship.

Some of the key ways that this can be done is through an invitation to Praise God through joining with us at one of our services, either in-person or online. During these times together people will be encouraged to worship through singing, prayer, being challenged through God’s word, be encouraged through the mutual sharing of what God is doing in our lives, baptisms and celebrating the Lord’s Supper together, just to name a few.

Our desire is that through these times together, we can help fuel one another’s passion for God and ignite a mutual desire to explore more of what God has to show us.

Psalm 63:3-4

3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

Psalm 73:25-26

25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

As people come along and experience God, we want to PARTNER them to KBC and connect them to the body of Christ. This can be done through small groups, ministries, service and mentoring.

This will provide an avenue of fellowship (1 John 1:3-4) to show them there are others who love them and want to see them grow (Acts 2:42). People need other people to encourage them and do life with them, in order for them to experience Spiritual growth and to see what it looks like to be a follower of Christ (1 Peter 2:2-3).

1 John 1:3-4

3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us.

4 And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.  We write this to make our joy complete.

Acts 2:42

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

1 Peter 2:2-3

2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,

3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

Our third pillar’s focus is to help PREPARE, develop and strengthen our people to serve God both in the church and in the World.

This will be done through providing courses, small group studies, Biblical teaching and mentoring (Col 1:9:10) to aid in further spiritual development. We need to continually advance our knowledge of Christ through scripture and grow in our understanding of what it means to be a child of God (Phil 4:9). We need to continually nurture our thirst to learn more and help others find the purpose God created them for (Psalm 25:4-5).

Col 1:9-10

9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you.

We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.

Phil 4:9

9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.

And the God of peace will be with you.

Psalm 25:4-5

4 Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.

5 Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

Our final pillar's focus is on our commission as children of God, and that is to PROCLAIM the Good News to those around us.

We are called by God to go out and make disciples and share the Gospel (Matthew 28:19-20). This will be done through providing opportunities to go into the communities surrounding KBC to serve, care, support and share the gospel through our words and through our actions. We will also continue to support the spread of the gospel globally through our ongoing support of cross-cultural missions. We look forward to creating amazing opportunities to experience God and bear fruit (John 15:5-8).

Matthew 28:19-20

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

John 15:5-8

5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

John 15:5-8

7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
