There is no greater place to regularly experience not only spiritual growth but also the presence of God, then participating in the spiritual practices laid out for us in God’s Word. So why is it that many of our experiences with spiritual practices are of frustration and guilt rather than joy? There could be lots of reasons, but we wonder if at the heart is we don’t have a clear picture of how God uses these disciplines to create something of beauty out of the mess.
